Artemisia vulgaris
Inducer of prophet dreams, soother of menstrual cramps, ally for ancestor work and divination. This prolific herb was used as a bittering agent in beer brewing before the popularity of hops was encouraged by the Church. You see where Hops made the mind sleepy, mugwort induced creative and intuitive thinking through its mildly psychoactive properties.Â
These last weeks I’ve been busy harvesting and bundling this most magical herb for the shop. Through my intense contact with her these last weeks she has been coming through artwork. One of my favorite way of working with an herbal ally is through channeled art. I have created an art card for anyone interested in an altar image of Mugwort.
